The skyline of the town where I live, Strängnäs, is dominated by the cathedral from the 13th century. The building in the lower right was built in the late 15th century by bishop Rogge and it's called Roggeborgen. At this time, Sweden was in an unpopular union with Denmark.
In 1523, the nobleman Gustav Vasa arrived in Strängnäs and he stayed in Roggeborgen during his visit. On June 6, 1523, Gustav Vasa was elected king of Sweden in the space between Roggeborgen and the Cathedral. This day is celebrated as Sweden's independence day.
Today, a branch of the National Library of Sweden is located in Roggeborgen. I usually work at least one day each week in Roggeborgen to reduce my commuting to Stockholm.
